Why are we collecting your personal information?
The Department of Customer Service is collecting your personal information through our registration web form.
The purpose of the collection is for verification, auditing and notification of information relating to the NSW Government Brand Toolbox.
What personal information do we collect?
We will collect the following personal and employment information from you:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Job title and department name
- Contact phone number
- Password
For external users, suppliers or contractors to the NSW Government, the following information is required:
- Referrer’s full name
- Referrer’s email address
- Referrer’s phone number
How will we use and disclose this information?
The Department of Customer Service will use the personal information we collect about you for verification, auditing and notification of information relating to the NSW Government Brand Toolbox.
We will not disclose this information to any other party, unless you provide your consent, or we are required or authorised to do so by law. This would usually be in the following circumstances:
- When acquiring services from an external contractor (for example, a provider of information technology services) engaged by the Department of Customer Service to provide support for the operation of the NSW Government Brand Toolbox (any contractor will be subject to a duty to protect confidentiality and personal information),
- In the event of an audit,
- In the event of an application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPAA)
Are you required by law to provide us with this information?
Providing us with the requested information is not required by law. However, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information, we may not be able to grant you access to the NSW Government Brand Toolbox.
